About Roots Picnic Weekend

Roots Picnic is an annual music festival held in Philadelphia and created by legendary hip-hop group The Roots. First launched in 2008, the festival has grown into one of Philadelphia’s biggest cultural weekends, bringing together music, food, art, and nightlife events across the city. The 2026 festival takes place May 30–31 at Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park.
